Frequently Asked Questions |

About PlainCards® printable blank playing, tarot, trading and flash cards. Are the corners of the cards rounded? Yes, except for the trading cards. How heavy are the cards? The weight or thickness of the cards is approximately the same as commercial playing cards. Can PlainCards® be used with all printers? PlainCards are not recommended for some older printers that have a sharp "u-turn" paper path. This style of printer can flex the cards so much that they might separate prematurely from the backing. PlainCards are printed with both laser and inkjet printers. Laser printer users should be sure their printer will handle the heavier card stock. If purchasing the card stock for glossy cards and planning to use an inkjet printer, be sure your printer has advanced printer settings (most do). In the past few years, we have had a couple of complaints about printing with the HP all-in-one printers. How big are the perforation "teeth"? The cards are microperforated. The teeth are extremely small and are comparable to those of blank business cards that are made for inkjet and laser printers. Why can't the Playing Card Coating be sent beyond the continental U.S.? Aerosol cans are a regulated commodity and we are not yet authorized to ship other than by ground transportation within the continental U.S. What size are the cards? Select the type of card on the top menu bar for the dimensions. Why don't you sell standard playing cards with only the backs blank? The QuickCards program prints a standard deck of playing cards. We feel this is a better option since it is less expensive and a specific card can be reprinted if there is any problem. Can the blank side of the pattern cards be sprayed with the playing card coating? Matte finish cards do not benefit from the playing card coating. Pattern cards are coated on the pattern side and, for ease of printing, have a matte finish on the printable side. About the QuickCards Program? What if I need help? Support is free - just contact us. The program is so easy to use, however, that we are very seldom contacted. In addition, QuickCards2 has an extensive help file. Is there a charge each time I use the program? No. Once you register the program, you are entitled to unlimited use. How do I register the program? Registration keys are sent immediately after purchase. Open the QuickCards program to the main screen and enter that key after selecting the registration button at the top of the QuickCards screen. It is necessary to be on line when you register. How many computers can I install QuickCards on? QuickCards registration authorizes installation of the program on one computer. Can I use the QuickCards Program with plain paper? QuickCards is designed to print on PlainCards. Because PlainCards are microperforated, there are no printed guides for cutting out cards. Can I use designs I have created in other programs? Yes, you can either paste them to your cards or import them as saved image files. Can the QuickCards program be used with Macs? No, there is not a version for Macs at this time. |
